It was a sad day last week when I found out (through my own experiment) that I am more than likely lactose-intolerant.
gone are the days of pesto pasta with buffalo mozzarella. gone are the days of organic milkshakes.*insert Ralphie voice from the christmas story* gone! all gone!
I have been dairy-free for about three days now. it has been hard, but I can tell my belly is thanking me. it just sucks, you know? I spend all this money on fake meat, and now I have to spend more on fake cheese. *sighs* I guess I will have to do more cooking. bah. I have been listening to a podcast called "compassionate cooks" and that has helped a lot in the past couple of days.
I got a new phone, and it is prettttty. see?

Another short weekend come and gone. Friday mr. pancake tea and I went to Chuy's for margaritas and grub. Of course, I got meat in my first batch of quesadillas...oh well. the drinks were cold and strong. that is what counts.
Woke up way too late on Saturday, watched "Sympathy for Lady Vengeance". it sucked.
Sunday I went to trader joe's and got 40 billion different types on gnocchi.
see? isn't my life super-exciting?
